I have bet on millions of rounds of blackjack. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of cash at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to beat the house.
I still like the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that 21 appears to be a match of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can relinquish a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $40
Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 40 dollar wager
Bet $40
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of $160
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
