I have bet on countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have wagered on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that 21 appears to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the bet back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely fun on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a few years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this method! And a few days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you witness gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Wager five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Bet $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first $160 bet
If you departed at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
